We live in a nomadic space. We get rooted while we move. 

We use maps as a common language that rises from listening. Heeding the place and listening to those who inhabit it, highlights what is unseen. The unseen appears in everyday rituals. Rituals change, repeat and alternate, while interacting with the place. The rhythm of time on space is marked by continuous exchanges. Nature and anthropic artifices exchanges, lives exchanges, and rhythms exchanges. They are territorialized in the geographical place, becoming a common ground. Experiential maps are originated by observing, listening, and exchanging with each other.

Representation is the act that foreshadows the action. Maps become narrative images of the land, its inhabitants, and its territories. Images do not claim to represent a hegemonic reality but the multiple realities that shape the inhabited space. They are images in transition, able to structure common actions. Every action is a concrete reaction that arises from the abstract representations of a place. These actions aim to be reactive. They reactivate the place, while they transmute it. They live in a nomadic space. They get rooted while they move.

Comuni-dados is a project that believes in sharing and encounters. Comuni-dados is the crossroads between the abstract theories and the concrete experimentations. Comuni-dados is transversal and experiential. It is a situation with multiple aerial roots. It is hybridized: it is architecture, it is anthropology, it is ethology, it is ecology, it is politics, it is geography, it is history. It is activism.

It is the story of two architects who opened the doors of the academic research, after being immersed in it, and took a leap into the unknown. That leap into the unknown is a journey. It is a journey to meet different nuances of the reality and to immerse into them. This journey makes words become facts, ideas become actions.

Comuni-dados is a generative journey. It takes shape from the encounters between time, space and situations. It is a non-specific journey towards the other, what is different, what we do not know. In the opposite direction: floating from the center to the edges.
